Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar to each ½ cup of hot water, then add food coloring. (Check egg coloring booklets or food coloring box for instructions). Vinegar keeps food dyeing bright and prevents shapeless colors;
First, make the “cone” of the volcano. Mix 6 cups flour, 2 cups salt, 4 tablespoons cooking oil and 2 cups water. The resulting mixture should be firm and uniform (more water may be added if necessary). Place a soda bottle in a pan and mold the dough around it in the shape of a volcano. Do not cover the opening of the bottle or pour any grease into it. Fill the bottle almost completely with lukewarm water and some red food coloring (it can be done before carving if you do not take it to the point where the water gets cold). Add 6 drops of detergent to the contents of the bottle. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the liquid. Slowly add vinegar to the bottle. Caution – Eruption time;
